Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinct blend of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work all over the world. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church where she sang and performed piano. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005 she took on the role of the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral in the production staged by Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine gained national recognition through her performances on four consecutive days in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2008 inauguration.
